Forestmuseum Burg / Dithmarschen

The Forestmuseum is situated on top of the ‚Wulffsboom’, which is 66 metres high. The panorama platform on top is 21 metres high and allows a wonderful view over Dithmarschen and the Elbe estuary.

In the museum you can discover the native flora and fauna. The exhibition shows animals and plants in their natural habitat. It is an immersive experience: Visitors can hear the birds tweeting, frogs croaking and, if you are very quiet, the gnawing of beetles in the wood.

The Forest Path

The Museum also has an educational forest path and many other interesting exhibits. The Forest Path is a 2km long loop and aims to explain the local fauna to visitors. The centerpieces of the park are the unique historic plantations of local fauna.
