Concentration Camp Ladelund: Memorial and Community Space

Ladelund concentration camp is 76 km awaz from the holiday apartment. It can be reached in 65 minutes.

Ladelund is a small village in the very North of Germany, between Sylt and the Danish border. It was one of the over 1000 concentration camps in Germany. Ladelund was one of 87 outposts of the concentration camp Neuengamme. Between November 1944 and December 1944, over 300 men and boys lost their lifes here.

A historic display put up in 1990 reminds visitors of the lifes of the prisoners and illustrates the reconciliation process between the inhabitants of the Ladelund and the families of the victims that took place after 1945.
