Flensburger Brewery

The Flensburger Brewery is situated in Flensburg, 72 km away from the apartments. The travel time is 60 minutes.

The brewery is located close to the historic city centre. It was founded in 1888 by five local citizens. The building may look unassuming from the outside, but the typical smell of hops gives its use away. The brewery can be visited at three times per day: 10:00 am, 2:00 pm and 5:30 pm.

Cauldrons, pipes and a lot of technology

Visitors can discover many interesting facts while exploring brewhouse, fermenting rooms, bottling plant and storage rooms. The quality of the water used for brewing is excellent – the water is cristal clear and derives from subterranean glacier rives from Northern Scandinavia.

The Flensburger Salon

The brewery is a hive of activity, including brewing, filtering and packaging. The modern bottling plant is bound to excite every fan of beer. Every hour, up to 35.00 litres of beer are bottled here on two conveyor belts.

Export, Lager and wheat beer

The Flensburger Export-Brewery was built and founded in 1888. The main advantages of the location were a spring with clear glacier water, a lot of space on the building site and a lake. In winter, ice blocks were cut from the lake to keep the cellars cool.
