Pellworm Island

The Island of Pellworm is 64 km away from the holiday apartment and can be reached by car in two hours.

The Island of Pellworm is the third largest island in Nordfriesland. It is seven kilometers long and six kilometres wide. It is formed by the Western part of the former island Strand, which was destroyed during a storm in 1634. The island of Pellworm, the Nordstrand and smaller Hallig islands are all parts of the former islands. The island lies up to a meter below sea level and is therefore protected by a dam up to eight metres high and 25 kilometres long. The Hallig islands of Süderroog and Südfall form part of the district of Pellworm.

Horse-back riding in the Wadden Sea

Right in the middle of the Wadden Sea, the rural idyll of Pellworm offers the perfect background for a riding trip for the whole family. The trip will take you trough green pastures and meadows, so you can enjoy sea winds and fresh air. With the arrival of the low tide the trip will continue on the now uncovered seabed – an unforgettable experience!
